Currently I'm working on a couple of non-fiction books for women: Rehab for Love Junkies: The Seven Habits of Soul-Healthy Women and Tissues for Your Issues: Dry your Tears and Face your Fears! My stories have appeared in Chicken Soup for the Soul, ParentLife, Life Lessons, a 30 day devotional, and Expect More, a collection of faith based testimonies. I've also been a contributing writer for The Victoracity for two years.
I serve on the board for Revive Ministries, an Oklahoma based non-profit ministry formed to equip women to transform their community. I also speak for Stonecroft Ministries and teach Titus 2, a women's class at Victory Church.
I believe the greatest ministry takes place outside of the sanctuary. I have spoken frequently for Victim’s Impact Panel, an organization that promotes awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence. In 2001, VIP featured a tribute to my son Jake on their annual video. So many don't realize the dangers of driving under the influence until it's too late. My prayer is that Jakes' story can save others from making a dangerous mistake.
My husband, John, and I have ministered in Victory’s single’s ministry for five years in a preaching and teaching capacity. For several years, we taught Choosing God’s Best, a course offered through Victory Life Ministries based on the book Choosing God’s Best by Dr. Rannikar. Together we share a passion to see the lives of single men and women prosper. Currently, we help lead a recovery group at The Pershing Center, a 2-year residential program for people transitioning out of homelessness and recovering from addictions.
