Handmade Vintage Linen Christmas Stockings

Handmade Vintage Linen Christmas Stockings

I love the day after Thanksgiving. It's an ephoric day of Black Friday bargains and massive Christmas decorating!! I can't wait to get out my boxes of decorations, put on some Christmas music and sip on some hot cocoa! Some of you got a head start though! Cheaters:)  My daughter saw a comic the other day with a turkey snapping at Santa Claus saying, "Wait your turn!!"

Each year I love to make something new to add to my decorations. That way decorating triggers nostalgic memories as I recall the fun I had making them. I can't wait to unpack these linen stockings I made last year.

Vintage look stockings

I used vintage napkins for the cuff because I love the texture of washed linen. Fabric covered buttons, ribbon and jingle bells...Festive at its finest!

I often buy vintage linen tablecloths at estate sales. Some have holes or stains, but here I had enough to salvage for the stocking body.

If you want a little more bling, hang an ornament from the button. I LOVE mercury glass!
